Our school

Bymount East State School is a Band 5 school with 7 students in a multi-age class of Prep to Year 6. It is located 64 kilometres north of Roma in the Darling Downs South West Region. Established on this site in 1945 the school serves an established grazing and farming community which actively supports the school with involvement in annual planning, class activities and fund-raising.

The school provides a safe, supportive environment while offering high-quality education programs that meet the needs of all students. The curriculum focus is explicit teaching of literacy, numeracy and science, with Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) integrated into daily learning. The interactive whiteboards, internet, digital cameras and use of a wide range of software ensures students and staff are equipped for the digital world. An annual whole school camp exposes students to differing environments and allows them to further develop personal attributes.

Bymount East State School will provide quality education that assists all students to love learning, develop judgment and a sense of responsibility, understand the past and prepare to embrace the future to enable them to contribute socially, economically and culturally to society.
